No, these are not Easter Bunnies. Here's the story ....
When my first daughter was born in 1976 my mother knitted the pink little bunny on the lefthand side and gave it to me with flowers, the day she was born. Six years later, on the arrival of my second daughter, my mother knitted the white bunny and gave it to me with flowers. These little creatures sit in my work basket in my studio and are a very warm and constant reminder of my mother and my daughters. From time to time they get a bath and new ribbons.

Very sweet Bunnies Pat and isn't it lovely to have something your Mother made for your daughters - lovely story.

Don't you just wish that you had kept childhood toys!
So cute and a treasure because of your mom making them and representing your daughters.

Wonderful!!! I so enjoy things like this...and you sharing the history of it. My husband's grandmother did the same thing when our kids were born. Only she made [by hand] === sock monkeys.
My Show n Tell is about our Easter Lily. If you can find some time today, stop by, won't you? Happy Friday, happy weekend.
How sweet! I have some things made and given to me at the birth of a couple of our children and they mean a lot to me too.
Precious story. Thanks for sharing. Happy Show and Tell Friday. Here’s mine:

Very cute! I have a crocheted bunny from my childhood that was made by my aunt. These remind me of that:)
Visiting from Kelli's Show and Tell!
Ahhh - so these are MORE than just bunnies and you can display them all year long. What a sweet handmade gift and reminder. You've kept them in lovely shape and I'm sure future generations will enjoy them too.
Thanks ever so, for sharing your nice things with us!
How sweet! What a wonderful reminder of your dear Mom and daughters. My Mum just passed away and I swear, I'm hanging onto one of her bobby pins...........I know, strange, huh? I loved her so much and I just want to have everything that was hers.
Blessings,
Spencer
These are so special! Thanks for sharing the story behind them:)
